Shari is available to perform traditional unveiling ceremonies, in which we dedicate the memorial stone in memory of a loved one. She will travel to local cemeteries and lead your family and friends in prayers at the graveside of your departed one. The prayers can be augmented with readings or remembrances if you wish. Unveilings are typically very short and simple, but some bereaved individuals feel better if they have a knowledgeable leader for the service. Unveilings are done after the monument stone is erected, typically between six months and a year after the funeral in the United States. Did you know that in Israel unveilings are usually done after 30 days? There are no commandments in the Torah regarding unveilings, so there is quite a bit of leeway in what various communities do. Your loved one's Monument Dedication can be a meaningful moment, tempering the sadness with memory. Condolences on your loss. A congregation founded by 23 Sephardic Jews in 1654 |
